- What do you build?
- Marketing and brochure sites for small businesses: the pages that explain what you do, prove you can be trusted with it, and tell people how to get in touch. Everything is written by hand in code rather than assembled in a page builder.
- Do you use templates or page builders?
- No. No WordPress themes, no Squarespace, no Wix, no bought templates. Every site is built from scratch, which is why they load quickly and contain nothing you did not ask for.
- Why does that matter to me?
- Three practical reasons. Hand-written sites are much lighter, so they load faster on phones and on poor connections. Their markup is clean, so search engines and AI assistants can read them properly. And there is no plugin stack quietly breaking or needing updates every month.
- Who owns the site when it is finished?
- You do. The code is yours, the domain stays in your name, and the site can be moved to another host or handed to another developer without asking our permission.
- What happens after launch?
- Maintenance and care is one of the three things we offer: updates, security patches, backups and content edits on a set schedule. It is optional. If you would rather look after the site yourself, or have somebody else do it, that is genuinely fine and nothing is locked down to prevent it.
- What do you need from me to start?
- A description of the business, a sense of what the site has to achieve, and whoever inside the business can actually approve decisions. Copy, photos and brand material are useful if they exist, but their absence is not a blocker.
- Do you do search engine optimisation?
- We do the part that belongs to the build: clean semantic markup, fast loading, structured data, correct titles and descriptions, a working sitemap, and pages that are readable by search engines and AI assistants without running JavaScript. We do not sell link building or ranking guarantees, because nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking.
- How do I get a quote?
- Email studio@web-crafts.org with a short description of the project. Every job is priced on what it actually involves, so there is no price list to read.
